Lanett, Alabama

Lake West Point, U.S. Corps of Engineers. On the border between Georgia and Alabama, is a flood control dam erected on the Chattahoochee River. The river below the dam is very scenic, and the lake during summer has some wonderful opportunities for photographing boats, etc.

Martin City

Lake Martin has been a good location for lake photos in the past, however, a recent drought has caused the level of the lake to drop quite a bit.

Mobile Alabama

Mobile Botanical Gardens features 100 acres of cultivated gardens including a Camelia Winter Garden, Fern Glade, Japanese Maple Garden, Herb Garden, and collections of differnt roses, perenials and of course, magnolias. Gardens are open year round from dusk to dawn. No admission fee, however donations are encouraged and gleefully accepted.
