Annotate

In the photography and digital imaging industry "annotate" typically means to add visible data to an image, like notes or comments, lines and pointers, without modifying the master image itself. It can be very useful to annotate images when teaching students photography, or to share images in a team, e.g. among architects or engineers. Think of annotations as "document mark-ups".

Annotate Expert by Nikonians (Download the free software here) is a free program to add comments to images and to automatically email and exchange annotated images in a team collaboration effort. It is currently available for MS Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. If you have any questions not answered by this online user guide, please see the Annotate FAQ. We are providing a Mac OS X version of the uploader module of Annotate Expert for all Nikonians on Silver level or higher called NikoniansUploader. A Mac OS X version of Annotate Expert will be released soon.

We suggest you start looking at the Annotate Use Cases to get a better feeling about what you can do with it :-)
