Good Locations Europe UK
From Nikonians Wiki - FAQs, Photo Glossary, Good Photo Locations, Help
Photography is generally permitted in any public place in the UK, with one or two exceptions, although not necessarily in all buildings which are open to the public. In some museums, such as in Birmingham, photographers are required to sign a declaration that they will not use the pictures commercially. Photography inside buildings owned by the National Trust is generally not permitted, but photography is usually allowed inside buildings owned by English Heritage. Historic churches generally permit photography, though not necessarily during a service, and generally do not allow flash. However, many churches now require a photographer's permit to be purchased from the church bookshop. It is possible to rent historic properties for a week or part of a week from the Landmark Trust.
The UK is divided into four states, being England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. England itself is divided into nine regions
