PC

In Nikon lens nomenclature, PC refers to a perspective control lens, a lens with movements in one lateral direction, enabling it to shift so that perspective distortion is corrected.
In computer parlance, a PC is a personal computer. Although there have been a wide-variety of operating systems for PCs, the term is generally applied to Intel type machines designed for the Windows operating system, as opposed to Apple Macintosh machines. Linux is also frequently installed on PCs. Generally speaking, a PC is for personal use, by contrast with a server.
In sociology, PC refers to "political correctness", a not entirely uncontroversial approach to neutralising language, or even removing all hierarchies.
