Tungsten light
From Nikonians Wiki - FAQs, Photo Glossary, Good Photo Locations, Help
Tungsten light is the light from ordinary household tungsten bulbs. It has a yellowish colour when compared to other lighting, because of its low colour temperature. When shooting in available light, the camera should be set to tungsten white balance. When shooting with a flashgun alongside tungsten ambient light, the flashgun should be modified with a yellow-orange tungsten conversion gel, and the camera set to tungsten white balance, or the tungsten light should be modified with a bluish gel, and the camera set to flash white balance.
