Viewfinders on SLR cameras benefit from periodic cleaning with an optical quality swab or lens cloth, and possibly a lens cleaning solution. On pro-type cameras, such as the D2X, the rear viewfinder glass is removeable, although this is not generally necessary for cleaning.
