Artefact
From Nikonians Wiki
Artefacts (or artifacts) are unintended changes to the image, flaws resulting from the digital process by which they were created.
Typical artefacts include moiré, the jagged edges caused by poor upsampling, colour shifts resulting from incorrect use of colour space, and the degradation of an image through the repeated resaving of JPEGs.
