Glamour photography
From Nikonians Wiki
Glamour photography covers a broad range of practice where the purpose is to render the human subject, usually a model, as visually attractive as possible, emphasising physical attractiveness.
Glamour photography is characterised by:
- prior agreement between the model and the photographer as to what aspects of the body will be shown
- attention to make up, hair and costume
- attention to lighting, often making use of beauty dishes, ringlights, and other specialist equipment
- attention to setting and background
- careful posing, with the detailed co-operation between the photographer and model
- extensive postprocessing, especially to improve the look of skin, and sometimes to alter physical features
