How do I use signatures in my messages?
From Nikonians Wiki
A forum signature is a small text that is added at the bottom of your forum messages. If you want to use this, please read along.
Remember, we do accept one link to an external website that is photography related, if it is your own site. Link spamming in the signature, or large signatures that are obtrusive must not be used. If in doubt, please consult our terms of use or post a question in the About Nikonians forum.
How to set up your signature
Click My Profile
Click on the Preferences tab
Scroll down the page. There is an input text area for your signature.
After making changes make sure you click on "Save"
To check how it looks, click on "Show my public profile" button at the top of the page and scroll down to see the signature at the bottom.
To insert links, they must follow our html syntax conventions:
For example, to show a link to NikoScope, enter
Visit [link:www.nikoscope.com|NikoScope]
This will show as: Visit NikoScope
Notice the use of square brackets [ ], the elimination of http:// in the URL and the need for the separator | between the URL and the name to be shown.
You can do the above to show a link to your own gallery; paste its URL.
You can change the font color of your signature by using text
Here is an example signature by one of our founders, bgs, which you can copy & paste as a template, note it is also including an emoji character at the end:
Bo - Central Europe
