IPTC
From Nikonians Wiki
IPTC Photo Metadata (International Press Telecommunications Council) is a set of standard meta data for sharing information about photographs, embedded within the image file itself. Most professional photography applications are able to incorporate and work with IPTC data, although few digital asset management systems embed the data directly, preferring to work with their own databases, and only embedding data in the image on the instruction of the user. There is an overlap between IPTC metadata and EXIF in the descriptive area. Nikon cameras support both types of data in the file structure.
