I get 3D Secure error during payment
From Nikonians Wiki
Make sure your credit or debit card has the security feature "Visa Secure", "Mastercard SecureCode" or "Amex SafeKey" activated. Please contact your card issuing organization or bank if you are having any issues using it at Nikonians and make sure this feature is enabled. Or, please select payment method "Credit card via PayPal or PayPal" on the payment form at Nikonians instead.
What does this extra security feature do? It basically introduces an additional step when you are paying (in which you are proving you want to pay and that you are you), e.g. through a mobile app or via a temporary code sent to your phone or email. You'd then typically see an extra page from your bank after you have entered your credit/debit card details online, asking for e.g. the PIN code you have received, or that you confirm the payment in a mobile app.
If your Visa does not have this feature (or your Mastercard does not have "SecureCode" or your Amex does not have "SafeKey"), please select payment method "Credit card via PayPal or PayPal" on the payment form at Nikonians instead. Through this route you can typically use various credit and debit cards in addition to a direct PayPal payment and non-3D secured cards may typically be processed.
Why this jazz!?
It can truly be annoying with all this verification and extra windows popping up, we know. We are bound by regulation to ask for this extra validation step, to protect you as a consumer against fraud. If you have any issues paying your membership, please do not hesitate to reach out and we will work it out. It is because of you as a paying member that we exist. Without your support, we would not be around, not able to help you and other photographers and videographers.
