Previsualising

From Nikonians Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Previsualising is imagining how the final image will appear once it has been shot and postprocessed. Generally speaking, previsualisation is an essential part of mastering photography.

In any particular scene, previsualisation allows the photographer to move the camera and select lenses for best camera angle, and adjust camera settings, to ensure the best composition, and to decide how to frame and expose the image to assist later postprocessing.

The Zone System is system created by Ansel Adams for previsualising exposure.
