SME
From Nikonians Wiki
An SME is a Small or Medium-size Enterprise — a company typically with between 10 and 250 employees with an annual turnover of 50 million euro or less, and/or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding 43 million euro.
Businesses with fewer than 10 employees are considered to be 'micro' enterprises, but usually are treated within the overall SME concept.
SMEs have a particular meaning within the policies of the European Union, and a wide variety of grants and other support are available, dependent on the profile of the area in which they are based. Most photographic businesses fall into the SME category, and many SMEs are hungry for photography to support their marketing programme.
