Sports Photography
From Nikonians Wiki
Sports photography is shooting live sports, often for news publication. With many sports, the photographer faces the challenge that the action is fast, far away, and in poor lighting conditions. Flash photography is frequently forbidden while the sporting action is taking place. Sports shooters therefore tend to use lenses with wider apertures, and cameras with very good high ISO performance, and fast shutter release speeds, such as the Nikon D3.
