System on a Chip (SoC)
From Nikonians Wiki
A system on a chip brings in various required electronic circuits onto a single, integrated chip. SoC is a complete electronic substrate system which can combine analog and digital circuitry with radio frequency functions and mixed-signal processing. Often components such as a Central Processing Unit (CPU), a graphical processing unit (GPU), system memory (RAM), program memory and various interface components are included in the design.
Usually the SoC comes with an operating system and various software applications.
