Annotate
From Nikonians Wiki
In the photography and digital imaging industry "annotate" typically means to add visible data to an image, like notes or comments, lines and pointers, without modifying the master image itself. It can be very useful to annotate images when teaching students photography, or to share images in a team, e.g. among architects. Think of annotations as "document mark-ups".
Annotate! by Nikonians (Download the free software here) is a free program to add comments to images and to automatically email and exchange annotated images in a team collaboration effort.
Some of the features currently available in Annotate! include:
- Capture screenshots and annotate them
- No need to draw annotations: Just mark the area and type the text. The layout of the resulting annotations is done automatically.
- Email annotations to other team members/photographers
- Annotate multiple images
- Export images in various formats
